Offered by America's pharmaceutical companies, Patient Assistance Programs are designed to help low-income individuals with little or no insurance with free or low-cost medications. While providing much needed assistance to those in need, these programs do not help as many people as they could due to confusing bureaucracies and long, complicated enrollment processes.

For example, one pharmaceutical company can have a different Patient Assistance Program for every drug it manufactures with different eligibility requirements for each drug.  Furthermore, these programs will often reject a patient for a single error in the paperwork and they require ongoing paperwork every three months.

SCBN Prescription Advocacy's team of specialists cuts through red tape, saving patients costly errors and overwhelming paperwork, ensuring that they qualify for the maximum amount of financial assistance while continuing to receive their prescriptions on an ongoing basis.

"While we're proud that we've helped the uninsured receive over $200 million of medications, there are still 45 million Americans who lack coverage," said Brandon Todd, CEO of SCBN. "Sadly, we can only accept 500 new patients a week due the voluminous paperwork we do on each patient's behalf. There's still much more work that needs to done."
