"In addition to addressing Flash and possible ALD solutions relating tothat technology, the webcast will also include a presentation on ALD processtechnology and equipment challenges for both Floating Gate and Trapped Chargearchitectures," commented the webcast's moderator, SST's Senior TechnicalEditor, Ed Korczynski. "Advanced materials play a critical role, so we willexamine specific precursors that will be required to deposit ALD films, issuesrelated to their development and use, delivery and cleanliness requirements aswell as availability, cost and if there are any shortages looming on thehorizon."

Commenting on SAFC Hitech's participation in the webcast, Dr. Peter Heyssaid: "The SST webcast combines the three main elements (chemical supplier,OEM and IDM) that together can collaborate to provide solutions to thechallenges of introducing a novel technique, in this case ALD, to a relativelynew industrial requirement -- the production of new generation Flash, NOR andNAND memory devices. Discussing the thought processes required to design newmolecules suitable to the ALD process and the issues required to be overcomebefore the new molecule can be effectively and safely introduced to the marketplace, in an 'acceptable to all' economic format I feel will be of particularinterest."

The webcast is open to everyone. A simple registration procedure isrequired in order to access proceedings on the day. For further informationabout the webcast, and to register to attend, please log onto:http://sst.pennnet.com/webcast/display_webcast.cfm?id=522

For those who are not able to listen to the live event, the webcast willbe archived for 12 months and can be accessed on SST's website:http://sst.pennnet.com
