LAKE FOREST, Ill., March 4 RoundTable Healthcare Partners ("RoundTable"), an operating-oriented private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry, announced today that Charles W. Stiefel has joined the firm as Senior Advisor. In this capacity, Mr. Stiefel will assist RoundTable in identifying investment opportunities, facilitating key industry introductions, and advising the firm on strategic and operational issues.

Mr. Stiefel is the former Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Stiefel Laboratories, the largest family-owned and operated dermatology company with nearly $1.0 billion in sales and 3,600 employees in over 100 countries. GlaxoSmithKline acquired Stiefel Laboratories for $3.6 billion in July 2009. Mr. Stiefel joined the company in 1982 and became CEO in 2001. Under his leadership, Stiefel Laboratories quadrupled sales via new product introductions, acquisitions and strategic investments in product development and sales and marketing. In 2003, Mr. Stiefel was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the South Florida Dermatology Foundation, and in 2006 was named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year in Health Sciences for the State of Florida.
