PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 15 Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC®) of the Philadelphia Region, Inc. today announced that more than $290,000 in grants has been awarded to local nonprofit organizations throughout 2009. These grants provided support to programs aimed at improving the health and well-being of children throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region.
"McDonald's is committed to supporting the communities we serve," said John Durante, McDonald's Owner/Operator and president of RMHC of the Philadelphia Region, Inc. "We're proud to have the opportunity to assist local charities in their efforts."
The organizations that received support from RMHC of the Philadelphia Region in 2009 include:
RMHC of the Philadelphia Region, Inc. grants hundreds of thousands of dollars per year to support non-profit programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. Locally, RMHC supports the Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey and Delaware Ronald McDonald Houses, in addition to the St. Christopher's Foundation for Children Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.
