Riverside County Regional Medical Center Selects Surado CRM

RIVERSIDE, Calif., March 31 Surado Solutions, the emerginginnovator in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, today announcedthat Riverside County Regional Medical Center (RCRMC) went live with SuradoCRM Health earlier this month replacing its current Indigent Managed CareSystem as part of its Comprehensive Case Management system initiative.

The Medical Center is a 520,000 square-foot state-of-the-art tertiary careand level II adult and pediatric facility, licensed for a total of 439 beds.There are 364 licensed beds in the main acute-care hospital, and 77 licensedbeds in a separate psychiatric facility. RCRMC has 12 operating rooms, ahelipad located directly adjacent to the Trauma Center, and state-of-the-artdigital radiology services, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) andcomputerized tomography (CT) and all single-bed rooms.

RCRMC needed a powerful, flexible, highly customizable and scalableworkflow-based system geared towards high growth and providing better customerservice. One goal was to standardize business processes through comprehensiveworkflows and automated business rules to improve efficiency and provide a newlevel of care throughout the Medical Center. RCRMC went through a rigorouscompetitive bid process resulting in the selection and subsequent purchase ofa 300 User license of Surado CRM with various modules, including SuradoIntegration Module, Surado Audit Trail and Surado Version Check.

Riverside County Regional Medical Center successfully completed anIndigent Services System, named HealthCRM. Using Surado CRM as the foundationfor Indigent Services Business needs and working with Surado consultants,hospital staff created business solutions for Eligibility, Claims, andFinancials. By leveraging Contact Management and features of Workflow withinthe Surado Enterprise product, and the use of Microsoft Visual Studio, RCRMChas been able to incorporate business practices into consistent businessprocesses. RCRMC information technology software engineers developed morethan 240 custom healthcare screens for various business functions, includingindigent Patient Registration, Scheduling, Eligibility Tracking, ClaimsAdjudication and Processing and Provider Relations. Reporting and Analyticsusing built-in reporting tools and integration with Business Objects' CrystalReport Writer will provide managers and administrators with operationalreporting as well as key performance indicators. Complex business rules andscreen designs were accomplished using Surado CRM Custom Application Designer(CAD), which is part of the Core Surado CRM system.

RCRMC's Chief Information Technology Officer, Edward Papp, is consideringexpanding the use of the CRM solution into other areas of the hospital. "Withtightening economic constraints in public health, Surado provided anaffordable alternative to outdated and manual processes," said Papp.
