Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work program recognizes health careorganizations nationwide that enable employees to perform at their optimumlevel to provide patients and customers with the best possible care andservices. To determine the best workplaces, a firm that researches regionalBest Places to Work programs across the country conducted an extensiveselection process of healthcare companies on behalf of Modern Healthcare. Twohundred and thirty-eight health care companies participated.

The process began in July 2008 and included two detailed surveys: aquestionnaire that required detailing Resurrection Health Care's benefits,policies and practices, and a confidential satisfaction survey taken byrandomly selected employees to determine Resurrection's culture, workingenvironment, training and development opportunities, pay and benefits andoverall employee satisfaction.
Resurrection Health Care is the only Illinois health system recognized asone of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare in addition to being one of onlysix companies recognized in the state.
