SOMERSET, N.J., Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Thoracic Group P.A. (www.thoracicgroup.com) today announced that one of its leading thoracic surgeons has been named a Top Thoracic Surgeon in New Jersey by an independent survey of doctors across the state. Dr. Robert Caccavale, featured in New Jersey Monthly's annual list of "Top Doctors" this month, heads the Thoracic Group with Dr. Jean-Philippe Bocage. Together, the doctors have set new standards for general thoracic surgical services and are nationally-recognized pioneers of minimally-invasive video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS).

Operating as a surgical team for over 15 years, Drs. Caccavale and Bocage offer a unique collaborative approach that is leading the way in their field of specialty. New Jersey Monthly commissioned an independent survey of the state's physicians with the participation of the Monmouth Polling Institute at Monmouth University in West Long Branch. A one-page questionnaire was mailed to all New Jersey-based physicians who have been licensed in the state for at least five years, totaling 590 overall. The final list represents the top doctors in each of 57 medical categories.
