Red Cross Participates in September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 9 In commemoration of the first September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance the American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles will host three 2-hour volunteer orientations for 100+ youth and adults. As part of the orientation the volunteers will receive a tour of the chapter's new state of the art Emergency Operation Center, which acted as the headquarters for the Red Cross' response to the recent California wildfires.

What: The volunteers will be introduced to Red Cross principles and the chapter's volunteer needs. This orientation is the first of three steps to become a Red Cross Volunteer.
