Reba McEntire a Shoe-In for Breast Cancer Support

WEST CHESTER, Pa., Sept. 16 Country music icon and stageand screen superstar Reba McEntire is lending her support in the fight againstbreast cancer.

The GRAMMY(R) Award-winning singer and star performer is scheduled toappear in both print and television public service announcements supportingthe 15th annual QVC Presents "FFANY Shoes on Sale" breast cancer fundraisingevent, live on QVC Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from 7 PM - 10 PM (ET).

Now in its 15th year, the fashion fete once again brings together one ofthe largest multimedia retailers in the world, QVC, and the Fashion FootwearAssociation of New York (FFANY(R)), who together have donated over $28 millionto the cause. The three-hour broadcast airs through QVC and will feature morethan 100,000 pairs of shoes at half the manufacturer's suggested retail price,with net proceeds benefitting leading breast cancer research and educationinstitutions.

"Knowing the effects breast cancer has on all who are touched by it, I amproud to step in to support such a worthy cause," said McEntire. "This eventnot only raises much-needed funds for education and research, but also helpsto promote awareness of this deadly disease."

Beneficiaries for the 2008 QVC Presents "FFANY Shoes on Sale" eventinclude: The Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania; TheAlvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and WashingtonUniversity School of Medicine; The Breast Cancer Research Foundation; TheGillette Center for Women's Cancers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; The JohnWayne Cancer Institute Breast Center at Saint John's Health Center; The SidneyKimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins; The University ofMichigan Comprehensive Cancer Center's Breast Oncology Program and TheWinthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute of the University of Arkansas forMedical Sciences.

Additionally, McEntire recently launched her own fashion footwear linecalled Reba, in partnership with Brown Shoe. Select Reba styles will beavailable during QVC Presents "FFANY Shoes on Sale."
