RESTANCE will manufacture Playboy Brand named condoms for distribution in Africa, starting in Kenya as part of a the #DoIt4Africa buy-one-give-one campaign where an anticipated $20 million in condoms will be sold in North American and for every condom sold, a condom will be manufactured in Africa and given away in Africa. RESTANCE is participating in a campaign to contribute to the United Nations goal of ending the AIDS Epidemic.
Yesterday, Jimmy Kimmel announced that for a third consecutive year, he would be donating his show to support (RED)'s Shopathon. (RED) is an AIDS organization founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver that has delivered a total of $500 million to the Global Fund, to fund HIV/AIDS programs in sub-Saharan Africa. Bono, Ashton Kutcher, Bryan Cranston, Kristen Bell, DJ Khaled all appeared on Jimmy Kimmel's Shopathon show to include a special message from Fromer President Obama.
In addition to opening a condom manufacturing plant, RESTANCE is pursuing several other business lines in the growing economies of East Africa. The Company is developing opportunities in the region including initiatives in technology and systems integration services, utility support services, affordable housing and health products manufacturing.
