Program for Stroke Survivors and Friends Hosted by Henry Ford Hospital

DETROIT, Nov. 8 Henry Ford Hospital is hosting a day-longprogram for survivors, families, caregivers and friends to provide up-to-dateinformation on stroke prevention, recovery, interventions, resources andimproving quality of life.

The program, sponsored by the department of Neurology at Henry FordHospital, takes place from 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16, at theDetroit Yacht Club.

For nearly 20 years, Henry Ford Hospital has been designated a StrokeCenter by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), with a team able to rapidlyassess, triage and deliver treatment within 60-90 minutes of stroke onset.

In addition, Henry Ford has earned the Joint Commission's Certificate ofDistinction for Primary Stroke Centers. The Joint Commission's Gold Seal ofApproval recognizes hospitals that make exceptional efforts to deliver betterstroke care.
