ATLANTA, Nov. 8 Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) Georgia todayannounced the retirement of its Chief Executive Officer, Douglas J. Middleton,in 2008. Middleton presented his retirement plan to the Executive Committeelast month and stated that his retirement will become effective when a newChief Executive Officer is appointed by PCA Georgia's Board of Directors.Middleton joined PCA Georgia as Chief Executive Officer in April 2004.

Mark A. Stancil, PCA Georgia board chair, stated "We are grateful to Dougfor his dedication and service to the children of Georgia and wish him thebest of luck in retirement. Prevent Child Abuse Georgia has been the leader inchild abuse prevention for 23 years.
