SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sikka Software, The Practice Optimizer Company®, announced today that its new and free revolutionary app, Practice Mobilizer®, generates the Prescription Monitoring Report required by state Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) databases. Sikka Software assists veterinarians in collecting positive identifications of clients, tracking methods of payment and reducing the data collection interval, helping vets move towards real-time data collection.

The state databases track specific information regarding the dispensing of Schedule II through IV controlled substances and oversee mandatory reporting for providers prescribing these controlled substances. Sikka Software's Practice Mobilizer generates the required ASAP 2009 V4.1 format reports for 20 state databases.

Veterinarians access the required reporting functions by downloading the free Practice Mobilizer app and installing the Sikka utility. This utility connects to 96% of practice management systems on the market and extracts dispensing drug information. Veterinarians can then view critical information about their weekly prescription drug dispensing. Information includes pet name, prescription drug, client name and date. By selecting cases, providers are able to access further prescription details including drug quantity, strength, and supply.

In compliance with PDMPs, a weekly report is generated within the app. This report is available in the Sikka Portal and can be downloaded and sent in for controlled substance reporting. This assists providers in identifying potential drug abuse patterns and facilitating best prescription practices.

In addition to providing the Prescription Monitoring Report, Practice Mobilizer allows veterinarians to manage their practice's success, all from their mobile phone. Doctors can view key clinical and practice data, check how their hospital is performing compared to peers across the nation, send and receive secure video, text and picture messaging and access Sikka's robust marketplace of support products and services.

The app is available for free in the Google Play and Apple App stores. Veterinarians can get started today by clicking here.
