Polymedco's FIT is recommended as a first screen by the United States Preventive Services Task Force.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer related deaths in the United States and the third most common type of cancer in both men and women. Colorectal cancer has a 91% survival rate if caught in Stage I, but only an 11% survival rate if caught in Stage IV. March is colorectal cancer awareness month.
