Poland Spring Delivers a Half Million Bottles of Water to Those in Need in Massachusetts with 1.4 Million More on the Way

HOLLIS, Maine, May 3 On Saturday night, the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency requested the assistance of Nestle Waters North America (NWNA) to deliver Poland Spring bottled water to the Boston area in light of the boil alert situation. The company has also received hundreds of orders for bottled water and began working on production and delivery logistics immediately. The company has already delivered 21 truckloads (nearly half a million bottles) of water to the affected areas and expects to deliver 40 more truckloads (1.4 million bottles) over the next 48 hours.

Nestle Waters North America recently signed a contract with the Commonwealth as an official emergency water provider and has a similar agreement with the Maine Emergency Management Agency.

"Poland Spring is working around the clock to quickly bring clean, safe water to the Boston area. Nearly half a million water bottles are either delivered or on their way and we are working at full capacity to deliver additional bottled water," said Bill Maples, Northeast Operations Director for NWNA.
