PhoneTree Begins Celebrating Its 20th Year of Providing Automated Message Solutions

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Aug. 28 PhoneTree(R) is beginning its20th Anniversary celebration this year through 2009. After a church emergencyback in 1989 revealed a breakdown in membership communication, Dave Ward (thena DuPont(R) engineer) and AJ DiBianca (then a Xerox(R) engineer), beganbrainstorming ideas on how to improve communication for their church members.They never imagined how those initial conversations would eventually affectmillions of lives and help revolutionize the voice and e-messaging industry.

"You have to remember, this was a time pre-dating the growth of the WorldWide Web and mainstream use of computers," says AJ DiBianca, now President andCEO of PhoneTree. "So, the idea of an automated messaging product wasincredibly pioneering for its time."

Today, Dave and AJ's original PhoneTree concept has created a highlysuccessful business with employees around the country and PhoneTree systemsnow in use worldwide.
