WAYNE, Pa., July 7 After wearing glasses for more than 20 years, making it difficult with activities like swimming and skiing, Gordon, a local radio personality on 94WYSP, finally said: "Enough."

Gordon, who suffered from myopia (nearsightedness), had Lasik eye surgery recently and now has better vision without the hindrance of wearing glasses.

Gordon had heard of Lasik surgery but hesitated to take the final step because he shares a concern of many regarding the procedure: fear of an eye operation and its consequences.

"More than anything, I love that life is now unrestricted. It's no longer shaped by what I can and CAN'T do because of my glasses," Gordon said. "I'm free to just live.

"My worst nightmare happened a few years ago when my glasses were knocked off my face at a concert and were crushed almost instantly by the crowd. Not only was the concert ruined for me, but I was stranded there because I was too blind to drive.

"Dr. Siepser is a first-rate physician and I'm glad I chose him as my doctor for the Lasik surgery. He and his staff were superb."

"Gordon's fear regarding lasik surgery is often a first reaction when I talk with patients," says Dr. Steven Siepser, chief surgeon at his Wayne, Pa.-based Siepser Laser Eyecare.

"Once I have the opportunity to explain the advances and safety features of surgery and how it can help people with problems from cataracts and astigmatism to distance and reading issues, they become interested."

Gordon is the DJ for 94WYSP radio on the 7 p.m. to midnight shift for a station that describes itself as providing "The Rock You Grew Up With."

Dr. Siepser is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, who has performed more than 20,000 vision correction procedures in his 30-year career and has had a zero rate of infection at his Lasik surgery center.

Dr. Siepser has improved the vision of a variety of local personalities and their families, including Vince Papale, Bobby Taylor, Chad Lewis, Larry Brown, Scott Palmer and Shane Victorino.

Dr. Siepser has offices in Wayne, Pa. and Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
