BALA CYNWYD, Pa., Sept. 28 PhiladelphiaInsurance Companies (Nasdaq: PHLY), Bala Cynwyd, PA, sponsored the 2008Parkway Run/Walk benefiting The Cancer Center at The Children's Hospital ofPhiladelphia, the nation's premier pediatric oncology program. Despite therain, more than 1,500 runners & walkers (including 50 PHLY employees and theirfamily members) participated in the event. Following the 5k run, PHLYemployees presented the check for $65,000 to Dr. John Maris MD, Director ofHematology/Oncology at CHOP.
