Kyler's poster will be reproduced as bookmarks, which will be distributed to all of Pennsylvania's public libraries. A PDA member dentist will present Kyler with his framed winning poster and bookmarks at an upcoming school award assembly in June.

In addition to Kyler's prizes, Linglestown Elementary School and Mrs. Fetterhoff will each receive a $250 prize for participating in PDA's contest.
His poster titled "Keep Cavities at Bay, Protect Your Teeth Everyday," is set on beautiful Molar Beach. Vibrantly colored signs remind beachgoers that candy is prohibited and encourages them to use C.P.F. (Cavity Protection Factor). A pair of teeth are shown catching rays on the beach; one tooth rubbing fluoride toothpaste onto his sunbathing tooth friend. They brought a cooler of milk and a Vitamin D weekly magazine to the beach. Kyler's poster was selected from 46 well-designed and creative regional finalist posters submitted to the PDA Central Office for final judging.
Second-place was awarded to Giavanna Marcogliese, an 8-year-old student at J.M. Hill Elementary in East Stroudsburg, Monroe County. Giavanna will receive a $500 educational savings bond for her poster titled "Brush Your Teeth Everyday," where a colorful shark, flashing his pearly whites and holding a toothbrush exclaims, "I look sharp."
Carissa Root, a 9-year-old student at J.M. Hill Elementary, took third-place with her "Attack the Plaque - Fight Tooth Decay" poster that depicted an oozing plaque monster attempting to bring germs into the castle, when stopped by a heroic knight armed with toothpaste and floss. Carissa will receive a $250 educational savings bond.
It is estimated that 20,000 third-grade students across Pennsylvania participated in this year's poster contest.
