To date, Pekin Hospital has installed three OmniRx(R) and 11OmniSupplier(R) medication distribution and dispensing systems, six of whichhave OmniDispenser modules that incorporate automated single-dose dispensing.These Omnicell systems provide convenience and control over medications at thepoint of use, helping improve cost management, reduce inventory, and increaseoverall efficiency and productivity for both Pekin Hospital pharmacy andnursing staff.

In addition, six Anesthesia Workstations from Omnicell provide PekinHospital operating rooms with a complete system for the management ofanesthesia supplies and medications, while complementing the workflow of theclinician at the point of care.

The SecureVault solution combinessoftware with advanced automated dispensing technology, enabling the PekinHospital pharmacy staff to track, monitor, and control the movement ofcontrolled substances from a central vault to multiple locations.
