Parkinson Network of Arizona Elects Tom Lescault Chairman of the Board of Directors

PHOENIX, April 5 Tom Lescault, president of SCAN Health Plan Arizona, has been chosen to serve as chairman of the board for the Parkinson Network of Arizona (PNA) board of directors, effective immediately. The mission of the PNA is to improve the lives of those with Parkinson's disease by supporting the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute through fundraising events and creating awareness of the center.

Lescault joined the PNA board of directors in 2009 and recently engaged the SCAN team to spearhead the fourth annual Walk the Fight, which raised more than $35,000 for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center. A resident of Paradise Valley, Lescault also serves as president of the Arizona Association of Health Plans. He has nearly 35 years' diverse healthcare leadership experience, including founder and managing partner of MRG Group, a national healthcare consulting firm, and various management roles with Arizona Physicians IPA, Intergroup of Arizona and Health Net as well as several executive positions with the State of Arizona.

As chairman of the board, Lescault will lead the 16-member board as they provide governance and a strategic vision for increased awareness of PNA. "We are excited and honored to have Tom Lescault serve as our board chairman for the next two years," said Margaret Anne Coles, program manager of the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center. "Tom's passion for senior issues combined with his extensive knowledge and experience in healthcare perfectly position him for this role."
