Panamanian Community Celebrates Its National Independence Day By Raising Funds For Panama's Children's Hospital

MEDIA, Pa., Nov. 13 The Delaware Valley's Panamanian community organizes an event each year that is centered around an international fashion show to help raise funds for the Children's Hospital of Panama. One hundred percent of the funds raised for the event this year will be donated to the hospital's Burn Unit. The event will feature two of Panama's famous designers, Jaime Luna and Moises Sandoya, who will be participating in the event with their own designs.

The mission for Children's Hospital of Panama is to provide pediatric services with an emphasis on promotion of physical, emotional and social well being in children. Its vision is to be the leading hospital in pediatric care in the country and the region. The event is spearheaded by the Consul General of Panama, Georgia Athanasopulos, chairwoman of this annual event.
