MORRISVILLE, Pa., Sept. 11 Despite defined diagnosticcriteria and new therapies, many people with fibromyalgia experiencepersistent symptoms. The 2008 Fall Meeting of the Greater Philadelphia PainSociety (GPPS), which will be held Thursday, September 25, will addressfibromyalgia pathophysiology, diagnosis, comorbid conditions, and treatmentoptions, providing useful information to multidisciplinary practitioners whocare for patients suffering from this condition.

The program will be moderated by Larry Leventhal, MD, Chief of theRheumatology Division of the Graduate Hospital Department of Medicine. WarrenKatz, MD, Rheumatology, of The Rothman Institute will also present.

The meeting will be held at the Top of the Tower, Bell Atlantic Buildingin Philadelphia. Registration will be from 6:15 - 6:30 pm, with dinner and theeducational activity to follow. The program will also be accessible via live,online broadcasting to health care professionals across the nation.
