PSI Selected to Operate Virginia's Child Support Program in Chesapeake and Hampton

DENVER, Oct. 9 After a thorough review of multiplecompetitive bids, the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) announcedthat it has selected Policy Studies Inc. (PSI) to operate its full-servicechild support offices in the Chesapeake and Hampton districts. PSI is aleading provider of health and human services for government clients. Thecontract is valued at approximately $7 million annually and will run throughJanuary 2014.

VDSS cited several pertinent reasons for its selection of PSI, includingan innovative approach to case management as well as the company's tremendouscommitment -- as evidenced by its pledge to take both districts' performanceratings to the top in the Commonwealth. Explains VDSS Deputy Commissioner,Division of Child Support Enforcement Director, Nick Young, "Based on thescores for all five evaluation criteria, PSI's proposal was clearly the bestoverall. We continue to be impressed by the level of innovation and dedicationthe company has shown towards promoting the success of our program and ourcommunities."
