Pepsi refreshes soft drink portfolio with three innovations

As part of the company's "Refresh Everything" campaign, Pepsi is reinvigorating its beverage lineup with the introduction of three new products. Pepsi Natural, Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback, will be hitting the beverage aisle this March and April. Pepsi Natural is a new premium cola with all-natural ingredients, including lightly sparkling water, natural sugar, natural caramel and kola nut extract. The throwback drinks offer consumers a taste of the past with their own versions of Throwback, two new limited time only products inspired by the '60s and '70s, sweetened with natural sugar in a retro-look package.

New report takes broadband beyond stimulus debate

A new report says next-generation networks capable of providing much faster Internet access are needed to provide the next level of services and applications to consumers.

The report by the Information Technology & Innovation Foundation identifies the economic and societal benefits of high-speed broadband, as well as policies needed to encourage further expansion. The study finds that broadband deployment has the potential to create or save two million jobs for American workers over the time period in which that deployment occurred.

Kidney Care Partners and the National Minority Quality Forum have joined forces to release state and congressional district breakdowns of patients experiencing chronic kidney disease. They also will illustrate the racial disparities of the effects of this epidemic. In the United States, 26 million Americans suffer from kidney disease and the rising rates of widespread kidney disease risk factors - such as diabetes, obesity and high blood pressure - are driving the numbers higher.
