PA Patient Safety Authority Schedules Vote on Infection Control Advisory Panel and Discusses Act 52 at Public Board Meeting

The Pennsylvania Patient Safety Authority Board of Directors plans to vote next week to approve members of its Infection Control Advisory Panel at its public board meeting held Tuesday, September 11, at 10:30 a.m. at the C. Ted Lick Wildwood Conference Center, Harrisburg Area Community College.

The Authority's Interim Executive Director, Michael Doering, will also present a summary of Act 52 which calls for hospitals and nursing homes to report infection data to the Authority, and will discuss tentative implementation plans.

Other items on the board's agenda include an update on the wrong-site surgery guidance project and a presentation on obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).



Pending board approval, names and brief HAI-related biographies of selected Infection Control Panel Advisory members will be given at the meeting.
