NEW YORK, Nov. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ottilie & Lulu, the New York based tween skin and hair care line, and KiDS of NYU Langone have partnered to lift the spirits of hospitalized tweens and build clean, healthy grooming habits. To start its partnership and get the giving season off to a great start, KiDS of NYU Langone is asking its donors to purchase 2 Ottilie & Lulu Gift Sets and donate the second set to tweens in its hospital. Ottilie & Lulu will donate 10% of sales to KiDS of NYU. "KiDS does an incredible job of supporting pediatric patients and their families at NYU Langone Medical Center. Ottilie & Lulu is proud to partner with them to encourage healthy grooming, to build a positive self image, and to make a tween's hospital stay the best it can be," says Deborah Hernan, founder and CEO of Ottilie & Lulu. "A hospital is a complicated place for children, so something as simple as clean skin and hair goes a long way to making a young person feel refreshed and renewed." Hernan, a former Revlon Executive and Manhattan resident, founded Ottilie & Lulu in 2009 because she grew frustrated by the lack of safe, healthy, gentle grooming options for her tween daughter. Ottilie & Lulu was recently awarded the Parent Tested Parent Approved (PTPA) award for its Clean Skin Face Wipes. The product line consists of specially formulated skin and hair care products that are paraben free, vitamin enriched, and gentle yet effective for young skin. In addition, Ottilie & Lulu's healthy message and product quality got the attention of the legendary New York toy store, FAO Schwarz where it is sold in store and online at FAO.com. "When kids are in the hospital, they don't always feel like themselves. We believe that our partnership with Ottilie & Lulu will give our kids a special treat and make them feel good about themselves. Since the products are about clean, healthy grooming, we are also able to share a healthy message about taking care of yourself," says Alice Tisch, chair of the Board of Directors of KiDS of NYU Langone.
