Traditionally, patients requesting images have been met with some resistance from healthcare professionals, claiming the patient would not understand what they saw. Yet, patients continue to ask for them. Many image centers require patients to visit the office and pick up a CD, which can sometimes be a difficult task due to patient work schedules or lack of transportation.
SDMI and OneDX partnered to provide a patient portal where patients would have easy access to their images and records. A live demo of the OneDX image-enabled portal will be available at the Scientific Posters & Demonstrations Display.
