An Oncology Medical home (OMH) is a patient-focused health care model that delivers coordinated, value-based and efficient cancer care, designed to meet the needs of patients, payers and providers. This physician-led, team-based approach provides comprehensive and continuous care to cancer patients with the goal of obtaining maximized health outcomes. OHC was selected to work with representatives from the CoC, Community Oncology Alliance and other practices to develop the OMH standards because of its clinical innovation model and patient outcomes.

"We chose OHC as one of nine national practices to receive accreditation because of the organization's commitment to meeting our standards and providing expanded access to care at decreased costs," said Daniel P. McKellar, MD, FACS, Chair, of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.

Applying for and maintaining a CoC-OMH accreditation is a voluntary commitment to meeting CoC standards and reviewing performance data to ensure patients have access to a full scope of services required to diagnose, treat, rehabilitate and support patients with cancer and their families.
