Nurses and Doctors to Hold Emergency News Conference on Crisis at Jackson Health System

MIAMI, Feb. 17 SEIU Local 1991, the union representing 5,000 nurses, doctors and healthcare professionals at Jackson Health System, will hold an emergency news conference Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, regarding the crisis at the public hospital.

SEIU 1991 will make an announcement calling for a bold action to bring needed reforms and transparency to Jackson, which is teetering on financial disaster and is putting patients at risk because of gross mismanagement.
