YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, July 27 On July 26, 2009, The Ohio Nurses Association/Youngstown General Duty Nurses Association (ONA/YGDNA) ratified a tentative agreement with Forum Health. The outcome of this difficult process has resulted in the Registered Nurses of Northside Medical Center providing millions in concessions in each of the last three years. It is now up to the Forum Health management and board of trustees, the creditors, the political leaders in our community, and the court system to ensure that Northside Medical Center continues to serve our community's health care needs, while providing a quality health care choice and preserving jobs for over 1,600 families in the Mahoning Valley. Despite the sacrifices, the nurses at Northside Hospital remain committed to a care environment that promotes quality, safety and patient satisfaction.
