RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Therap is aligned with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services in their initiative to utilize Health information technology. According to NC DHHS, 'HIT will change how healthcare is delivered with the goal of increasing quality, improving health, controlling costs, and empowering healthcare consumers.'

Therap's developmental disability software includes HL7 compliant Health Information Exchange (HIE) interface that allows providers to send health care data on Therap to their local exchange. With Therap's HIE features, providers can easily track, access and securely share individual's' vital health information, allowing for enhanced person centered supports.
