Next Generation in Senior Living Rises in Tanasbourne District; The Springs at Tanasbourne Now Leasing

HILLSBORO, Ore., July 22 Senior living is evolving to meetthe needs of today's active retirees. This new generation of seniors islooking for communities with more amenities and lots of opportunities tocontinue their involvement in the activities they love.

Willowcreek Management Company is responding to this change with TheSprings at Tanasbourne, a departure from the senior living communities of thepast. Construction is well underway on this distinctive new retirement livingcommunity designed to offer retirees plenty of opportunities to stay involvedand active, while enjoying the benefits of maintenance-free living.

Willowcreek is currently pre-leasing residences, and seniors and theirfamilies can stop in for a sneak peek. The leasing trailer, located at theconstruction site near the intersection of 192nd and Cornell Road, is opendaily for tours of the model interior.

The Springs at Tanasbourne will feature numerous amenities to make activeretirees feel right at home. Plans call for a nine-hole putting green on thelandscaped grounds, full service spa, fitness center complete with pool, amovie theater and a chapel. A concierge service will coordinate transportationto nearby events and attractions, pharmacy services, dry cleaning and more.Residents will even enjoy a sundries shop and several restaurants.

The community will offer a continuum of services, from independent livingto assisted living and memory care for residents with Alzheimer's disease andother memory challenges. Residences will include studios and one- andtwo-bedroom units.

Stubblefield said he began Willowcreek Management with a business partnerto offer a new standard in retirement living. "We set out to build a communitywhere my grandmother, Lillian, could live comfortably," he said. The companyoperates five other communities in the Pacific Northwest.
