New Tool Helps Pain Advocacy Community Address Growing Public Health Crisis

"In the Face of Pain(R)" is a free interactive toolkit that enablesadvocates to create individualized action plans, educational materials, andpresentations tailored to a specific area of focus. It is accessible atwww.inthefaceofpain.com

"The new online version of the toolkit is a 'must have' for painmanagement advocates," according to Micke Brown, BSN, RN, Director of Advocacyat the American Pain Foundation. "It empowers healthcare professionals, peoplewith pain, caregivers or concerned individuals to create tailored advocacyplans to address a range of audiences on a variety of pain-related issues."

The "In the Face of Pain" toolkit serves as a one-stop location forpain-related statistics and provides guidance on implementing advocacyoutreach through various channels, including:
