I've no doubt that these difficult times of hospital closures, bankruptcies, budget battles and other obstacles will give way to a brighter future for our hospital and healthcare community and the people who depend on us each and every day."

Under the chairmanship of Miller, the following officers of the NJHA board also were appointed: Secretary Audrey Meyers of Ridgewood, Valley Health System; Treasurer Thomas Biga of Fairhaven, Clara Maass Medical Center; Vice Chairman John T. Gribbin of Clarksburg, CentraState Healthcare System; and Chairman-elect Alexander J. Hatala of Mount Laurel, Lourdes Health System.
The following healthcare leaders were appointed as new board members: Wayne Schiffner of Berlin, South Jersey Healthcare; Kenneth Bateman of Flemington, Somerset Medical Center; Douglas Duchak of Mahwah, Englewood Hospital & Medical Center; Stephen K. Jones of Kendall Park, Robert Wood Johnson Health System; Deborah Zastocki of Randolph, Chilton Memorial Hospital; Alan Lieber of Ramsey, Overlook Hospital; Edna Cadmus of Rutherford, Englewood Hospital & Medical Center; Richard Scott, MD, of Red Bank, Medical Society of New Jersey; and David P. Tilton of Galloway, AtlantiCare.
The New Jersey Hospital Association, based in Princeton, is the statewide advocate for its 111 member hospitals and the patients they serve.
