For example, employers and employees share health care premiums; theemployer pays for catastrophic (i.e., major health events) coverage whileemployees have the choice to purchase additional benefits such as enhancedpharmaceutical coverage, in-network routine and emergency care benefits,outpatient services, a lower catastrophic deductible and more. Benefits suchas dental and vision coverage are available as well.
In addition, health plan participants have access to www.myuhc.com, anonline portal that offers a host of health care information and programs,including Personal Health Records that enable customers to become moreinformed health care consumers.
