TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Dec. 17 -- The National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association, the leading national organization focused exclusively on the fight against health care fraud, has partnered with LearnSomething, Inc., to develop a compliance training solution that satisfies the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid's (CMS) requirement for fraud, waste and abuse training.

Working closely with LearnSomething and other national health care fraud experts, NHCAA brings to the market a comprehensive program that incorporates training on fraud awareness, reporting requirements and compliance in an interactive online environment.  A robust reporting system allows providers and other downstream entities to complete training once, and efficiently deliver results to multiple health insurance plans.

The training program, Medicare Advantage & Part D Compliance Training - Recognizing and Reporting Fraud, Waste and Abuse, is delivered online through multiple Plan sponsored portals. Completion records and electronic signoff of training attestation forms are all maintained in a national database. LearnSomething's proprietary LearnPro+ learning management system is the underpinning technology that manages the delivery and tracking of employee training activity. The database is available to any Healthcare Plan who would like to query results for proof of training. Plans who wish to utilize the compliance solution may do so at no cost to them. Participation includes a branded portal so each Plan may have a unique identity while still gaining access to a national database of all training activity.

The CMS guidance states that all employees, board members, officers, contracted personnel, contracted providers/practitioners, contractors, sub-contractors and vendors affiliated with an organization who have direct or indirect contact with their Medicare business must take Fraud, Waste and Abuse training annually.

LearnSomething's established compliance training expertise, coupled with their excellent customer service and  state of the art custom reporting features that met both provider and payor needs drove the decision to partner says Lou Saccoccio, Executive Director of NHCAA, and the collaborative effort has been well-received by payers, regulators and users.
