National Business Group on Health to Hold Press Conference to Announce Partnership to Eliminate Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities

WASHINGTON, Feb. 7 The National Business Group on Health(NBGH) and the Office of Minority Health (OMH) will hold a press conference onMonday, Feb. 11, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. EST to announce a new initiative to helpemployers address racial and ethnic health disparities and improve the qualityof health care for a culturally diverse workforce. The partnership's missionis to bring business, medicine, and public health together to develop guidanceand strategies for large employers to better manage issues related to racialand ethnic disparities in health care.

Speakers will include Helen Darling, President of the National BusinessGroup on Health, Garth Graham, M.D., M.P.H., Deputy Assistant Secretary forMinority Health, Office of Minority Health, Department of Health and HumanServices, and Dr. Ron Davis, M.D., President of the American MedicalAssociation
