National Business Group on Health Honors Data Recognition Corporation as One of Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles

MAPLE GROVE, Minn., May 13 The National Business Group onHealth, a national non-profit organization of large employers, today honoredData Recognition Corporation (DRC) for its commitment and dedication topromoting a healthy workplace and encouraging a healthy lifestyle for itsemployees and families.

DRC was among 52 employers that received the Best Employers for HealthyLifestyles award at the Leadership Summit sponsored by the National BusinessGroup on Health's (NBGH) Institute on the Costs and Health Effects of Obesity.DRC received a Silver Award for its Healthy Measures Program.

DRC's "Healthy Measures" program, led by a health and wellness committeecomprised of employees from across all areas and levels of the company,strives to build a culture of health and wellness by providing awareness,programs, tools, and an environment that supports and promotes healthy lifechoices. The program components include Disease Management programs, anEmployee Assistance Program, a nurse hot line, health risk assessments,biometric screenings, personal health coaching, prenatal support services,on-site fitness centers, subsidized on-site massage, fitness classes, andWeight Watcher's, as well as targeted physical activity and nutritionprograms. All of these components combine to create a culture in which DRCemployees are able to make educated choices that will positively affect theirpersonal health and wellbeing.

Winners of the Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles awards were honoredin one of three categories: Platinum, for established programs with measurableoutcomes; Gold, for creating cultural and environmental changes that supportemployees who have made a commitment to long-term behavior changes; andSilver, for those employers who have launched significant programs or servicesto promote living a healthier lifestyle.
