National Business Group on Health Elects Sally Welborn, Walmart Executive, to Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, Dec. 8 The National Business Group on Health, a non-profit association of more than 280 mostly large employers, announced today that Sally Welborn, Senior Vice President of Benefits at Walmart, has been elected to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.

"We are thrilled to announce Sally's election to our Board of Directors," said Pamela Kimmet, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. and Chairman of the Business Group's Board of Directors. "Sally is a visionary leader and will add great personal and professional strength to our board, as well as insights and experiences in corporate human resources from the world's largest retailer."

Welborn is responsible for the design and administration of benefits including health care coverage and retirement plans for Walmart, the world's largest retailer. She has more than 25 years of experience in corporate human resources. Prior to joining Walmart, Welborn was Senior Vice President, Corporate Benefits, at Wells Fargo where she was responsible for the design and administration of all health and welfare and retirement programs.

Welborn is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor's degree in mathematics, and she has earned the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist Designation through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
