Committed to Helping Seniors Get Answers on Health Care Reform
WASHINGTON, June 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Council on Aging (NCOA) believes that older Americans and their families need more information about health care reform and how it will affect Medicare and their health. As part of an ongoing commitment to providing seniors with education and improved access to benefits, NCOA is proud to co-sponsor an interactive, televised satellite town hall meeting featuring President Barack Obama and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

During the live Town Hall on Tuesday, June 8, President Obama and Secretary Sebelius will take questions by phone from seniors at satellite town halls around the country. At least 60 of these -- more than half of all the scheduled events -- will take place at senior centers that are members of the NCOA-supported National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC) or are otherwise affiliated with NCOA.

The broadcast will air on C-SPAN beginning at 11:15 a.m. and ending at 12:45 p.m. and will originate from the Holiday Park Multi-Service Senior Center in Wheaton, MD, also a NISC member. The event will also be streamed live on www.WhiteHouse.gov and www.HealthReform.gov.
