Monroe served previously as executive vice president - Public Affairs andchief communications officer for KeyCorp, one of the nation's largestfinancial services companies. During his 30 year career, he also completedassignments of increasing responsibility at CIGNA Corporation, The AmericanExpress Company and AT&T Long Lines Division.
Monroe earned a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University, graduatingmagna cum laude. He also holds a master's degree in journalism from ColumbiaUniversity.
He is a member of The Phi Beta Kappa Society, The Public Relations Seminarand The Wisemen. He has chaired the Public Affairs Council of The FinancialServices Roundtable and is the former chair of The Conference Board'sCommunications Council.
