Moving Day: Northwestern Memorial Hospital Moves Moms, Babies, and Other Patients Into New Prentice Women's Hospital

Nearly eight years of planning and preparation culminated today followinga carefully executed move from the existing facility into the new state-of-the-art hospital. The new one million square foot Prentice Women's Hospitalopened its doors, bringing together comprehensive care for women through allstages of life. From women's cardiovascular health to the Lynn SageComprehensive Breast Center, gynecologic oncology and obstetrics, the hospitaloffers care tailored to the unique needs of women.

Over 250 patients were moved in less than eight hours, 50 of which wereneonatal intensive care babies. All patients were transported to their newlocations within the new Prentice Women's Hospital with the help of hundredsof employee volunteers.
