On Monday, December 7 at 7:30 a.m., in San Diego, Millipore will be hosting a press briefing to unveil a new and innovative instrument that will revolutionize cell counting for life science researchers. This transformational--and uniquely portable--technology provides a fast and accurate way of monitoring the health of cultures. John Sweeney, Vice President of Millipore's life science business, will present the instrument for the first time publicly, demonstrate it, and have it available for the media to see up-close.
Currently, manual cell counting is most commonly performed using a hemocytometer and a microscope. Because the process is manual and quite tedious, the accuracy and precision of cell counts can be impacted. Automated cell counters are also available but these bench top instruments are often expensive and are not portable.
Please join Millipore to hear more about this new, portable, high caliber cell counting technology over a light breakfast before attending the ASCB meeting on the 7th.
