During Guethon's tenure at Metropolitan he has operated in the capacity ofMedical Director and Staff Physician, Senior Vice President of Utilization andQuality Improvement, and Chief Medical Officer of the company's recently soldHMO. These roles have culminated in his current position as President of thecompany's PSN, where he is responsible for the management and clinicaloperations of a network of over 400 primary care physicians, today coveringapproximately 33,000 managed care lives. As President and Chief OperatingOfficer, Guethon with be responsible for the management of all operations ofthe company and will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, MichaelEarley.
Prior to his tenure with Metropolitan, Guethon served as Regional MedicalDirector for JSA Healthcare Corporation where he was responsible for clinicaloperations, utilization management, business development, physicianrecruitment, and performance management. From 1997 to 2001 he occupied severalsenior executive roles at Humana, Inc., most recently serving as MedicalDirector in the Orlando market overseeing the execution and integration ofmedical management activities and quality improvement programs. Guethon alsooperated his own private practice from 1991 to 1996.

Guethon graduated cum laude with a B.S. from the University of Miami in1983. He earned his M.D. at the University of South Florida College ofMedicine in Tampa, Florida and in 1996, earned an M.B.A. from Tampa College.He is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and Florida Academyof Family Practice.
