Memory Pharmaceuticals Announces Six Abstracts Accepted for Presentation at Society for Neuroscience Meeting

MONTVALE, N.J., Nov. 10 Memory Pharmaceuticals Corp. (Nasdaq: MEMY) today announced that six abstracts related to its clinical and preclinical programs have been accepted for poster presentations at the 38th Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuroscience in Washington, D.C. from November 15-19, 2008. The abstracts include additional preclinical data for R3487/MEM 3454, the Company's lead nicotinic alpha-7 receptor agonist currently in Phase 2 development for both Alzheimer's disease and cognitive impairment associated the schizophrenia (CIAS), new preclinical data for the Company's lead 5-HT(6) receptor antagonist, MEM 68626, and data from its collaboration with Amgen focused on the development of PDE10 inhibitors.

"We and our partner Roche are evaluating R3487/MEM 3454 as a treatment for both Alzheimer's disease and CIAS, and the preclinical data for R3487/MEM 3454 adds to the growing body of evidence suggesting the compound enhances cognition. In addition, MEM 68626 continues to demonstrate efficacy in multiple models of memory, including new findings of enhanced performance in a spatial working memory task. Furthermore, we continue to progress our program focused on advancing PDE10 inhibitors for potential clinical development."
