LENEXA, Kan., Aug. 15 Mediware InformationSystems, Inc., (Nasdaq: MEDW) announced today that Noel Strong has joined thecompany as chief technology officer and vice president of research anddevelopment. The new position, reporting to John Damgaard, chief operatingofficer, is a key component of Mediware's consolidation strategy and is thefirst of its kind for the company.

The new position will oversee all product development and qualityassurance for Mediware's two core product lines and provide a technologyplatform vision for current and future products and product lines.

Before joining Mediware, Strong was vice president of applicationdevelopment for the Corporate Synergies Group in Laurel, NJ and for EclipsysCorporation in Atlanta. Previously, he held positions of increasingresponsibility in information technology at Sprint PCS, UMB Bank and the stateof Kansas.
Strong holds MBA and undergraduate degrees from Baker University inBaldwin Kansas. In addition, Strong is an adjunct professor for Keller andDevry University teaching graduate studies in Information Technology.
