KMSF is the faculty practice plan for the highly regarded University ofKentucky Medical Center and the College of Medicine. In this role theorganization provides billing and other administrative services to themultitude of affiliated providers who deliver care across over 80 clinicalareas. While KMSF initially adopted mobile charge capture several years ago,the group recently decided that its incumbent solution would no longer meetthe needs of its IT strategic initiatives. These concerns led KMSF to assessthe vendor and solution market via a formal RFP process and thorough referencechecks.
Upon concluding a very methodical landscape review, KMSF chose MedAptus'Professional Charge Capture. The decision, unanimous across themulti-disciplinary steering committee, was largely based on MedAptus' trackrecord of successful implementations and widespread clinician adoption atacademic institutions such as Lahey Clinic Medical Center and The Universityof Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. Members of the KMSF committee witnessedusage of the solution firsthand, as well as received feedback and insight fromusers, during site visits to both centers.
"Given our years of experience with mobile charge capture technology, weknew exactly what we wanted from a new vendor and system. In addition to thefeatures and functions that would drive adoption and ease billing workflow, itwas equally critical that the chosen vendor demonstrate dependability," saidKentucky Medical Services Foundation's Executive Director, Darrell Griffith."Our interactions with MedAptus clients confirmed our instinct about thecompany as a stable, customer-oriented provider."
"We are thrilled that our Professional Charge Capture solution was chosenas a replacement system and are wholly confident that we will deliver KMSF thedemonstrable revenue results we are so known for," stated Carlos Escobar, vicepresident of sales at MedAptus. "We applaud KMSF for their incredibly thoroughsystem review and selection process and feel privileged to install oursolution in such an acclaimed academic setting."
The MedAptus implementation is fully underway at KMSF; first users of thesystem were live as of January.
