McGraw-Hill Higher Education Publishes Text on Innovative Electronic Health Records System

NEW YORK, Feb. 7 Immediate access to a patient's medicalrecords is essential to quality medical care and can mean the differencebetween the life and death of a patient. Electronic Health Record (EHR)systems, used by physicians' offices in ambulatory care settings, make patienthistory readily available in those critical moments. McGraw-Hill HigherEducation has published a new textbook, Hamilton/Electronic Health Records, toeducate medical personnel on these revolutionary systems. As part of thisinitiative, McGraw-Hill has partnered with Spring Medical Systems, the creatorof the SpringCharts(R) EHR system, to provide fully functional demo softwareto all students, offering a unique hands-on patient care learning experience.

Hamilton/Electronic Health Records, by Byron and Leesa Hamilton of theMed-Soft National Training Institute, provides theoretical content andintroductory software, as well as an advanced training program and illustratedtraining details, such as visual screen captures and menu icons from theSpringCharts EHR software included in the package. Certificates of completionof the training program are available through McGraw-Hill Higher Education'sOnline Learning Center. The textbook content also correlates with thecertification criteria of the Certification Commission for HealthcareInformation Technology (CCHIT).
