Jan 13 , 2010 – Berlin, Germany – Eight thousand people ran for diabetes awareness last week, raising $1.4 million for a local Berlin diabetes research fund. The purpose of the run was to educate people about the connection between obesity and diabetes and to encourage individuals to lose weight fast if they want to reduce their risk of long term diseases like diabetes.

Markenpillen.com, the online pharmacy, saw a boom in Acai Effect sales in the days following the run. This all natural weight loss supplement proved to be the most popular of Markenpillen’s diet offerings, most likely because of its natural properties which are derived from Brazil’s Amazonian region.

The Acai Effect is made from natural herbs, including the acai berry, an antioxidant-rich berry which has been known to help curb one’s appetite.

The Acai Effect is an appetite suppressant that works to:

• Curb appetite to aid weight loss.

• Provide the body with antioxidants and other natural health boosters.

• Helps boost energy.

• Increases sexual libido and reduces joint pain.

• Helps increase self-esteem.

Marcus Neubauer, Markenpillen’s company manager explains, "The marathon accomplished so much more than just sales for Acai Effect and generic Xenical. The run encouraged people to get up, get active, and lose weight, not to mention raise money for what we consider to be an important cause. We’re proud to be helping people achieve their weight loss goals and proud to be helping diabetes research in the greater Berlin area."
